Fotografia odontológica com celular e a comunicação com o técnico em prótese dental

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o uso de fotografias odontológicas com Smartphones na comunicação com o laboratório dental. Foram realizados 05 registros fotográficos de uma paciente: visão frontal do rosto; visão frontal do sorriso; visão vestibular dos dentes anteriores; visão vestibular dos dentes anteriores com escala de cores; e visão lateral dos dentes anteriores. As fotografias foram realizadas com Câmera profissional DSLR (Nikon D7200, lente macro 105 mm Sigma, Flash circular Sigma) e com o aparelho Smartphone iPhone 7, sendo as imagens captadas em uma clínica odontológica no período vespertino com o dia predominantemente ensolarado. Os registros fotográficos foram distribuídos em um questionário de avaliação online, que foi encaminhado por meio eletrônico e aplicativos de mensagens aos laboratórios dentais, sendo respondido por 53 técnicos em prótese dental. Os resultados foram submetidos ao teste estatístico Qui-Quadrado, com significância de 5%. Para a maioria das questões, houve a preferência estatisticamente significativa para a fotografia com Smartphone. Exceto para a questão da escala de cor que obteve resultado oposto, sendo a preferência pela fotografia realizada com Câmera Profissional. Concluiu-se que é possível utilizar a fotografia com Smartphone na comunicação com o técnico em prótese dental. Porém, alguns cuidados devem ser tomados no protocolo fotográfico, como não aproximar o aparelho do objeto a ser fotografado, pois gera distorções na imagem, e para fotografia de escala de cor, que foi a menos aceita, o Cirurgião-dentista pode lançar mão de outras ferramentas de comunicação como: mapas cromáticos e espectrofotômetros, para que sejam passadas a informações corretamente aos técnicos.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of dental photographs with Smartphones in the communication with the dental laboratory. Fifty photographic records of one patient were performed: frontal view of the face; front view of smile; vestibular view of anterior teeth; vestibular vision of anterior teeth with color scale; and lateral view of the anterior teeth. The photographs were taken with a professional DSLR camera (Nikon D7200, Sigma macro lens 105mm, Sigma circular flash) and with the iPhone 7 Smartphone, the images being taken at a dental clinic in the evening period with the predominantly sunny day. The photographic records were distributed in an online evaluation questionnaire, which was sent by electronic means and message applications to the dental laboratories, being answered by 53 technicians in dental prosthesis. The results were submitted to the Qui-Square statistical test, with significance of 5%. For most questions, there was a statistically significant preference for Smartphone photography. Except for the question of the color scale that obtained opposite result, being the preference for the photography realized with Professional Camera. It was concluded that it is possible to use Smartphone photography in communication with the dental technician. However, some care must be taken in the photographic protocol, such as not approaching the device of the object to be photographed, as it generates distortions in the image, and for color-scale photography, which was the least accepted, the Dentist can use other communication tools such as chromatic maps and spectrophotometers, so that information is correctly passed on to technicians.
