“A gente tá apenas em construção, construindo nossa forma, tentando achar a forma ideal pra fazer uma educação diferenciada, e que nós queremos”: a Licenciatura Intercultural Indígena da UFSC e as políticas linguísticas

Abstract

Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso apresenta as políticas linguísticas acadêmicas que envolvem as alunas e alunos da Licenciatura Intercultural Indígena da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. A partir da constatação de que o curso, apesar de estar inserido dentro de uma Universidade Federal, não possui grande visibilidade e das conhecidas dificuldades enfrentadas pelos povos indígenas em relação à educação escolar formal, realizou-se uma análise das políticas linguísticas acadêmicas que dizem respeito aos indígenas e que, consequentemente, afetam as políticas linguísticas nas escolas das aldeias e nas próprias comunidades. Para tanto, fez-se um levantamento documental e uma análise bibliográfica das legislações e literaturas que se referem às populações indígenas e selecionaram-se alguns discursos proferidos no I Seminário de Línguas Indígenas do Sul da Mata Atlântica: Guarani, Kaingang e Xokleng. Por meio dessa investigação, constatou-se que apesar de regulamentadas algumas políticas de valorização e uso das línguas indígenas, na prática elas não são bem concebidas. Com este trabalho, espera-se contribuir com a visibilidade das populações indígenas, principalmente no tocante as suas vozes.

This final paper presents the academic language policy that surround the students of the Licenciatura Intercultural Indígena of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Realizing that the course, despite being within Federal University, does not have high visibility and that are difficulties faced by indigenous people in relation to formal school education, it was made an analysis of the academic language policy that concerns indigenous and that, consequently, affect the language policy in the indigenous village’s schools and their communities. Therefore, to achieve that, it was made a data collection and a bibliographic research of the legislations and literatures concerning the indigenous and some speeches of the “I Seminário de Línguas Indígenas do Sul da Mata Atlântica: Guarani, Kaingang e Xokleng” were then chosen. Through that investigation, it was verified that although some policy existed, in practice they are not developed. Finally, with this paper it was expected to contribute with the visibility of indigenous populations, mainly in regard to their voices.
