Corpo estranho linear em gato: relato de caso

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo descrever o relato de caso envolvendo corpo estranho linear em um paciente da espécie felina atendido no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal do Paraná na área de Clínica Cirúrgica de Pequenos Animais no dia 15 de fevereiro de 2018. Corpos estranhos lineares são mais frequentemente diagnosticados em gatos devido ao seu comportamento. Ao ingerirem o material linear, muitas vezes o mesmo se fixa na base da língua e com isso pode-se confirmar o diagnóstico. O tratamento eleito para o paciente em questão foi cirúrgico, através das técnicas de enterotomia e gastrotomia.

The present work aims to describe the case report involving a linear foreign body in a feline patient attended at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Paraná in the area of Small Animal Surgical Clinic on February 15, 2018. Linear foreign bodies are most often diagnosed in cats because of their behavior. When they ingest the linear material, it is often fixed at the base of the tongue and thus the diagnosis can be confirmed. The treatment chosen for the patient in question was surgical, through the techniques of enterotomy and gastrotomy.
