Eutanásia: a decisão entre a vida e a morte

Abstract

O tema deste trabalho de conclusão de curso, diz respeito à eutanásia. Mais especificamente, quanto a aceitação da conduta da eutanásia no sistema jurídico brasileiro. Com o objetivo de verificar se o princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana está sendo satisfeito ao responsabilizar-se penalmente o terceiro que auxilia no momento da morte. A pesquisa buscou averiguar diferentes correntes de pensamento acerca do tema proposto. Também demonstra casos que ocorreram e foram divulgados na mídia, casos recentes conhecidos, argumentos de correntes favoráveis e desfavoráveis a prática da eutanásia. O relato sobre a vida de um homem que foi condenado a viver o que ainda lhe sobrava de vida sobre uma cama, sem ter intimidades e privacidades, até o ponto de este pedir para morrer dignamente. Uma reflexão sobre um tema que não é abordado com liberalidade entre as conversas do dia a dia ou na legislação brasileira.

The subject of this course completion work concerns euthanasia. More specifically, regarding the acceptance of the conduct of euthanasia in the Brazilian legal system. In order to verify if the principle of the dignity of the human being is being satisfied when the third person who assists at the moment of death is held criminally responsible. The research sought to investigate different currents of thought about the proposed theme. It also demonstrates cases that have occurred and been publicized in the media, recent cases known, arguments of currents favorable and unfavorable to the practice of euthanasia. The story about the life of a man who was condemned to live what still had life on a bed, without intimacies and privacies, to the point of his request to die with dignity. A reflection on a theme that is not approached with liberality between the conversations of the day to day or in the brazilian legislation.
