Grande Sertão: Veredas: uma epopéia da escrita

Abstract

Grande Sertão: Veredas (1956), enquanto escritura, participa, ao mesmo tempo que foge, do gênero epopéia -salientado pela crítica rosiana como um dos seus referentes fundamentais. Esta dissertação de mestrado descreve essa paradoxal participação genérica ao menos em três níveis, imbricados e em extrema tensão: a ação, a narração e a transcrição ou passagem ao texto. Finalmente, reflete-se sobre como nessa "epopéia" da escrita algumas certezas e consensos são incessantemente interrompidos, sobre como nela se excreve (ou pesa fora da inscrição) uma existência comunitária sem um sentido "dado" ou a se impor -a aventura de uma convivência em um mundo de errância, sem retorno à origem nem destinação final, cuja consistência é o exílio.

Grande Sertão: Veredas (1956), as a written text, participates, and at the same time escapes, from the epic gender -highlighted by critics of Guimarães Rosa's work as one of its fundamental referentials. The present work describes this paradoxical participation at least on three levels, imbricated and in extreme tension: the action, the narration and the transcription. Finally, there is a reflection about how in that "epic" of the writing, several consensus and certainties are interrupted, about how in it a communitary existence is exscripted (or has a weight outside the inscription) without a "given" sense or without imposing itself, the adventure of a life together in a world of errancy, without return to the origin or final destination, whose consistence is the exile.
