Aldyr Garcia Schlee e Fabián Severo em A inquietante maravilha de nomear: dois mestres na periferia da periferia do capitalismo

Abstract

Nesta tese pretendo investigar sociologicamente as obras de Aldyr Garcia Schlee e Fabián Severo nas particularidades da criação de uma literatura local. Como conceitos analíticos, neste trabalho, mobilizam-se os regimes de memória ? oficial, fragmentada e mutilada ? que agem como campos de força política na constituição da subjetividade e da comunidade em contextos periféricos. Partindo do conceito adorniano de ?vida mutilada?, a pesquisa procura demonstrar como a memória, longe de ser um mero repositório do passado, é um processo dinâmico de significação, marcado pela violência e por uma potência inventiva singular. Argumenta-se que a memória mutilada, manifesta na linguagem híbrida do portunhol fronteiriço, não busca restaurar uma totalidade perdida, mas habitar criativamente a fratura. A obra de Schlee é situada como um limiar entre a memória fragmentada e a mutilada, explorando a ambiguidade da fronteira por meio de uma linguagem híbrida e uma estrutura narrativa que expõe as lacunas do passado sem pretender soldá-las. Já a literatura de Severo é apresentada como a expressão mais radical desta ontologia, em que o sujeito ?viralata? ? ser de fronteira, composto de retalhos e ausências ? transforma a mutilação imposta no fundamento de uma nova linguagem e de uma ética de sobrevivência simbólica. A tese conclui que narrar a partir da periferia das periferias exige abandonar a vontade de criar totalidades e abraçar a lacuna como matéria-prima para a invenção de novas formas de comunidade e sentido.

Abstract: This thesis aims to investigate sociologically the works of Aldyr Garcia Schlee and Fabián Severo, focusing on the particularities of creating a local literature. The analytical concepts mobilized in this work are the regimes of memory?official, fragmented, and mutilated? which act as political force fields in the constitution of subjectivity and community in peripheral contexts. Drawing on the Adornian concept of \"mutilated life,\" the research seeks to demonstrate how memory, far from being a mere repository of the past, is a dynamic process of signification, marked by violence and a unique inventive potential. It is argued that mutilated memory, manifested in the hybrid language of border Portuñol, does not seek to restore a lost totality but to inhabit the fracture creatively. Schlee's work is situated as a threshold between fragmented and mutilated memory, exploring the ambiguity of the border through a hybrid language and a narrative structure that exposes the gaps of the past without attempting to solder them shut. In contrast, Severo's literature is presented as the most radical expression of this ontology, in which the \"stray-dog\" subject?a border being, composed of patches and absences?transforms the imposed mutilation into the foundation of a new language and an ethics of symbolic survival. The thesis concludes that narrating from the periphery of peripheries requires abandoning the desire to create totalities and embracing the gap as the raw material for inventing new forms of community and meaning.
