A vida dos objetos: coleções, arquivos e fetiches em Michele Mari

Abstract

A presente pesquisa pretende explorar na literatura do autor italiano Michele Mari as tensões de linguagem literária, memória e história a partir dos conceitos coleções, arquivos e fetiches. A partir de uma série de objetos preteridos pelo autor, que dizem respeito à sua infância, é possível identificar como colecionar, arquivar e fetichizar um objeto podem ser profícuos no campo da literatura, como demonstra o autor em inúmeras obras publicadas: de Euridice aveva un cane (1993) a Tu, sanguinosa infanzia (1997). Por meio da teoria e da crítica moderna (Walter Benjamin para o conceito de coleção, Georges Didi-Huberman e Giorgio Agamben para o de arquivo/arqueologia e Massimo Fusillo para o de fetiche), investiga-se como esses conceitos se cruzam e oferecem maneiras de proceder com a linguagem e a memória no plano da narrativa literária autobiográfica.

Abstract: This research aims to explore the tensions between literary language, memory and history in the literature of Italian author Michele Mari, based on the concepts of collections, archives and fetishes. Based on a series of objects neglected by the author, which relate to his childhood, it is possible to identify how collecting, archiving and fetishizing an object can be fruitful in the field of literature, as the author demonstrates in numerous published works: from Euridice aveva un cane (1993) to Tu, sanguinosa infanzia (1997). Through modern theory and criticism (Walter Benjamin for the concept of collection, Georges Didi-Huberman and Giorgio Agamben for that of archive/archaeology and Massimo Fusillo for that of fetish), the study investigates how these concepts intersect and offer ways of proceeding with language and memory in the realm of autobiographical literary narrative.
