Abstract

É possível separar um(a) autor(a) de sua obra? A questão, em alta nos últimos anos em portais de entretenimento e também nas redes sociais, pode ter várias respostas. Se, por um lado, há leitores tão aficionados por uma história que a consegue distinguir de seu/sua criador(a), por outro há aqueles que defendem veementemente ser impossível fazer tal separação. Há, ainda, quem flutue por ambos os lados, dependendo do(a) autor(a) e história em questão. Mas, quando o problema passa a ter relação direta com os direitos humanos e a identidade de determinado grupo social, a situação tende a ficar levemente mais complicada. É o caso da britânica J.K. Rowling, criadora da saga de sucesso “Harry Potter”, que conta com sete livros publicados entre os anos de 1997 e 2007. No “X” (antigo Twitter), a escritora não só é acusada semanalmente de falas transfóbicas como também expressa seu descontentamento com questões do gênero. Diante disso, é possível fazer essa distinção? O que dizem fãs do bruxinho mais famoso do mundo e especialistas da área? E a população trans, como se defende? A visão da autora é clara. O que resta, agora, é entender como as partes afetadas sentem-se e lidam com a questão. This is the case of the British J.K. Rowling, creator of the successful saga “Harry Potter”, which has seven books published between 1997 and 2007. On “X” (formerly Twitter), the writer is not only accused weekly of transphobic statements but also expresses her dissatisfaction with gender issues. Given this, is it possible to make this distinction? What do fans of the most famous wizard in the world and experts in the field say? And the trans population, how do they defend themselves? The author's vision is clear. What remains now is to understand how the affected parties feel and deal with the issue. To this end, the “Fora das Páginas” podcast sought to interview not only sources linked to the subject but also hear from experts how the topic has had repercussions in recent years in the academic field. Following the infotainment format, the product aims to raise awareness among all people interested in the topic and leave them free to choose which narrative to embrace.
