This article presents the Design Hive Tool, developed as prompts cards, as a mean to help designers
reflect critically on production and consumption, and speculate sustainable solutions. For this article,
a literature review was carried out, seeking to understand critical design approaches and how they can
act to promote sustainability, and the concept of product-service system and how they can be a
sustainable alternative to problems related to consumption and mass production. The bibliographic
review was the basis for developed the tool, which was tested in practiced through two workshops, in
which it was possible to observe the benefit in to stimulating designers’ critical reflection about
sustainability and how it can help in search for sustainable design approaches, result in the development
of product-service systems. |
