Análise da Aplicação de Análise de Ciclo de Vida no Design Brasileiro

Abstract

Design plays an important role in sustainable development by designing new sustainable products and services. Thus, the use of the Life Cycle Analysis (ACV) approach in design is a great help for this challenge. This article aims to present a survey of data and analysis on LCA applied to design in Brazil, considering its importance in the design process and sustainable development. Thus, the bibliographic mapping of the last three annals of the respective congresses was carried out: Brazilian Congress of Research and Development in Design (P&D) and the Brazilian Symposium on Sustainable Design (SBDS). The results show that LCA has been little used and researched by design, representing only 1.7% of the published works, with authorship concentrated in the South and Southeast regions. Finally, it is possible to verify the potential for growth of LCA research applied to the design in the development of sustainable projects and with that stimulate its consolidation in Brazil.
