dc.description.abstract Urban solid waste is a challenge for the sustainable development of territories, data from the National Solid Waste Plan (BRASIL, 2022) point out that 45.3% of urban solid waste generated in Brazil are organic materials, and among these materials are wood waste from urban pruning and sweeping. Ribanski and Belini (2019) point out two possibilities for the reuse of wood waste, the development of products with higher added value and the use for energy purposes, and, for the authors, "the reprocessing of wood waste and its transformation into products with higher added value is the best way to valorize them". Based on this problematic, the present article seeks to identify and propose guidelines for the reuse and sustainable valorization of wood waste through product design, through literature review and analytical writing. From the analysis of the reviews, it was possible to identify three guidelines for the sustainable design of products with wood waste. pt_BR
