Amazônia Legal e o negacionismo ambiental no governo Bolsonaro

Abstract

A questão ambiental no Brasil ganhou, nos últimos anos, grande notoriedade. Essa crescente centralidade política ocorreu pelos conflitos relacionados a expansão territorial do capitalismo extrativo, as desigualdades ambientais e a destruição do Floresta Amazônica. Nesse trabalho, analisou-se o desmatamento na Amazônia Legal a partir de 2015, com o marco temporal da COP 21. O acordo foi assinado por Dilma Roussef que reafirmou a necessidade de construir repostas conjuntas para a crise ambiental. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as decisões políticas do governo Bolsonaro e as consequências dessas eleições para o campo ambiental, principalmente, referente ao desmatamento na Amazônia Legal. A incitação do governo ao desmatamento, a flexibilização dos controles, a facilidade na concessão de licenças ambientais e o desmantelamento dos órgãos de controle são as características desse governo. Por isso, é preciso entender como essa nova orientação política emerge e se consolida na sociedade brasileira.

The environmental issue in Brazil has gained, in recent years, great notoriety. This growing political centrality occurred due to conflicts related to the territorial expansion of extractive capitalism, the environmental inequalities verified in the urban-industrial space and the destruction of the Amazon Forest. In this work, we analyze deforestation in the Legal Amazon from 2015, with the time frame of the 2015 as the COP 21. The agreement was signed by Dilma Rousseff who reaffirmed the need to build joint responses to the global environmental crisis. The consequences of these decisions for the environmental field, mainly regarding deforestation in the Legal Amazon. The government's incitement to deforestation, the relaxation of controls, the ease in granting environmental licenses and the dismantling of control bodies are characteristics of this government. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how this new political orientation emerges and consolidates itself in Brazilian society.
