AVALIAÇÃO DE IMPACTO AMBIENTAL SISTÊMICA DE INSTALAÇÃO DE PARQUE AQUÍCOLA NA PRAIA DO MATADEIRO, FLORIANÓPOLIS - SC

Abstract

The study main goal was to make an Environmental Impact Assessment of an aquaculture park implementation in Matadeiro beach, south of Ilha de Santa Catarina. A systemic approach was applied and, mostly important, considered the affected community’s perception of the issue. The analysis was made based in information obtained through bibliographical research; media publications; social networks manifestations; cartographical analysis and photo interpretation of the affected area; and field work. Finally, we identified, classified and analyzed the ecosystemic services provided by the affected area. This study brought to evidence the advances of systemic assessment when compared to traditional methodologies, by allowing a non-fragmented analysis evaluation. It also provided a better impact understanding and it consequences over the ecosystemic services provided, moreover it enabled social participation and an easier decision making.
