Recursos didáticos para o ensino de biogeografia: tabelas de classificação fisionômica das espécies da flora e fauna

Abstract

A presente pesquisa versa sobre a biogeografia na educação geográfica, visando contribuir com uma proposta de recurso didático para auxiliar os conteúdos referentes a fauna e a flora e as atividades de campo da área. Com este propósito, optou-se por uma abordagem a partir de autores e autoras que estudam a educação geográfica, a biogeografia e os recursos didáticos. Assim, em um primeiro momento decidiu-se por uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental de cunho qualitativo, que utiliza de métodos, estratégias e referenciais teóricos que mostram diferentes visões para as temáticas aqui discutidas. Desenvolveu-se, a partir disso, as Tabelas de Classificação fisionômica das Espécies da Fauna e da Flora, recursos didáticos direcionados aos estudos e observações das espécies pensados a partir das contribuições realizadas pelos pesquisadores Silvio Stefenelli e Helmult Troppmair. Entre as contribuições que surgiram com esta pesquisa, destaca-se a importância da utilização de recursos didáticos para se estudar conteúdos biogeográficos nas salas de aula. Entende-se que a utilização dos recursos didáticos aqui propostos venha acrescentar às aulas de geografia, bem como tornar mais prático os estudos da fauna e da flora, possibilitando ao estudante maior compreensão das espécies e do espaço geográfico. As tabelas foram aplicadas com estudantes de graduação em geografia de três diferentes fases (4ª, 5ª e 7ª) e de forma online devido ao isolamento social estabelecido no Brasil por conta da pandemia de COVID-19 e passaram, em um segundo momento, por uma avaliação quantitativa dos dados obtidos. Foram identificadas algumas dificuldades pontuais durante a aplicação das tabelas e problemas eventuais relacionas a aplicação feita a distância, mas, em geral, os recursos foram bem recebidos e obtiveram resultados positivos para a pesquisa, como a facilidade na utilização das tabelas e o entendimento dos estudantes quanto ao objetivo em utilizá-las.

Abstract: This research deals with biogeography in geographic education, aiming to contribute to a proposal of a didactic resource to assist the contents related to fauna and flora and field activities of the area. Given that, the bibliography in which this study was based on covered authors who studied geographic education, biogeography and didactic resources. At first, qualitative bibliographic research focused on presenting the different perspectives of the authors related to the field of this dissertation. Then, it was built the tables regarding the physiognomic classification of the fauna and flora species, as well as the didactic resources related to the study and observations of the species, given the contributions of the researchers Silvio Stefenelli e Helmult Troppmair. Among the results of this study, it can be highlighted the importance of the use of didactic resources to study biogeographic subjects in classrooms, besides the occurrence of increasing contributions to the biogeographic science in the recent past. It is understood that the use of the proposed didactic resources is able to enhance the quality of geography classes, as well as to make the studies regarding the fauna and flora more practical and contributing to the learning process of species and the geographic space. The tables were applied with undergraduate students in geography of three different phases and online due to the social isolation established in Brazil because of the COVID-19 pandemic underwent, in a second moment, a quantitative evaluation of the data obtained. Some specific difficulties were identified during the application of the tables and possible problems related to the application made at a distance, but, in general, the resources were well received and obtained positive results for the research, such as the ease of use of the tables and the students? understanding of the purpose of using them.
