Uma análise de Cartas entre Marias : uma viagem a Guiné Bissau

Abstract

O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar o livro Cartas entre Marias: uma viagem à Guiné-Bissau (2018) com o intuito de descobrir de que modo a literatura africana e sobre o povo africano podem contribuir para a ressignificação dos discursos de exclusão do povo negro. A cultura africana, embora seja riquíssima em hábitos, costumes e tradições, carrega consigo uma história de dores, preconceito e discriminação por ter sido colonizada e se tornado vítima das relações eurocêntricas. A nação brasileira é rica em miscigenação entre povos e culturas bem diferentes que se apropriaram da cultura um do outro no passado e no presente. Desse modo, respeitar a identidade cultural do povo negro é dar voz àqueles que foram silenciados durante séculos pelos seus colonizadores. Sendo assim, o texto analisado contribui para a valorização da cultura africana, que se tronou obrigatória nas escolas públicas em virtude da Lei n.º 10.639/03. A promoção e o acesso da população negra à igualdade de oportunidades é um desafio contínuo de movimentos negros, que ganha força quando as crianças, jovens leitores em idade escolar, conseguem reafirmar sua identidade cultural apropriando-se de livros como o que foi analisado.

The present study aims to analyze the book Cartas entre Marias… (2018) in order to discover in which ways this one contribute to the resignification of the discourse of exclusion of Black people. The African culture is rich in habits, mores and traditions, it carries a history of pain, prejudice and discrimination because it has been colonized and has become a victim of Eurocentrism. The Brazilian nation is rich in miscegenation between people and different cultures, to respect the cultural identity of the Black people is to give voice to whom have been silenced for centuries by their colonizers. Therefore this new view, the new discourse offered in each page of the illustrated book, and loaded with verb-visuality, contributes to the dissemination of the African culture that has became compulsory in public schools by virtue of the law 10639/03, breaking the European stereotypes. The promotion and access of the Black population to equal opportunities is a continuous challenge of Black movements, which gains strength when children, young readers of school age can reaffirm their cultural identity by appropriating books such as the one analyzed, connected with the current laws of this new discourse, present in the current historical moment.
