The agricultural sector has been highlighted by the growth and use of technologies used to meet the demand, with the expansion of genetic potential, increase in nutritional demand, increase in animal requirements, and a reduction in fertility. All these factors associated or not, contribute to the occurrence of dystocic deliveries, so these items must be in balance within the farm, in order to avoid the picture. This review aimed at listing the main dystocia and its causes and techniques used to correct the dystocic condition. Dystocite births should be observed, evaluated and accompanied by an obstetrician veterinarian whose objective is to increase the survival of the fetus and the mother when the fetus is already dead, increase the chances of survival and lower complications to the matrix. Obstetric disorders in cows result in considerable economic losses to the activity, lead to reduced efficiency, loss of production, increased labor among deliveries, increases the cost of production (labor, semen, therapy), sometimes greater injury, being the loss of the animal. |
