O feminino em Alice: uma análise discursiva da mulher além do seu tempo

Abstract

Respaldado na Análise de Discurso de inspiração francesa, este trabalho analisa a subjetividade da personagem Alice do livro Alice no País das Maravilhas (2002), de Lewis Carroll, publicado originalmente em 1865, em comparação com essa mesma personagem retratada no filme Alice no País das Maravilhas (2010) de Tim Burton. Observa-se o papel atribuído à mulher na sociedade vitoriana, assim como se aponta a finalidade da literatura infantil nessa época, de forma a se demonstrar os modos de produção de sentido em ambos os recortes selecionados, pontuando uma ruptura com os padrões relacionados ao papel da mulher que são impostos socialmente.

Based on the French strand of the Discourse Analysis, this study aims at analyzing the subjectivity of the character Alice from Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice in Wonderland (2002), originally published in 1865, in comparison to the way that the same character is pictured by Tim Burton in the movie Alice in Wonderland (2010). It is noted the role attributed to women in the Victorian society, as well as it is pointed out the purpose of the children’s literature at that time, in order to show the modes of meaning production in both selected clippings, indicating a point break with the patterns socially imposed, related to women role.
