RESUMO: O estudo refere-se às políticas de desenvolvimento de coleções das bibliotecas das escolas públicas e particulares de ensino fundamental e médio do município de Florianópolis. Teve como principal objetivo conhecer a existência dessas políticas neste universo particular. Para se alcançar os objetivos, empregaram-se técnicas das pesquisas sociais, utilizando-se dos questionários como instrumento de coleta dos dados, encaminhados por meio eletrônico e entregues pessoalmente. Os resultados revelaram que apenas 29 sujeitos (25%) apresentaram interesse em participar do estudo. Deste contingente, (48,3%) são bibliotecas de escolas estaduais, (44,8%) municipais e (6,9%) particulares. A responsabilidade pelas bibliotecas pesquisadas é exercida por profissional bibliotecário em (55,2%) das Instituições, sendo que destes, (44,8%) atuam em escolas municipais, (6,9%) em escolas estaduais e (3,4%) em escolas particulares. A presença de bibliotecários nas bibliotecas não foi determinante para existência de políticas de desenvolvimento de coleções das bibliotecas, pois (58,6%) não contam com as políticas e (65,5%) não dispõem desse documento. Apesar da não existência de políticas formais, o profissional bibliotecário, se destacou como responsável pela formação e desenvolvimento das coleções executando as atividades de seleção com (37,9%), avaliação (31,0%), aquisição (24,1%) e descarte (48,3%) das frequências. A origem dos recursos para a composição do acervo das bibliotecas é proveniente de verba predominantemente oriunda de órgãos superiores (20,7%), seguida de verba exclusivamente da escola e por composições de verba de órgãos superiores com verba da escola, destacando-se que o recurso oriundo das bibliotecas figura em apenas (5%) dos casos. Conclui-se que as bibliotecas em especial das escolas estaduais, precisam adequar-se à legislação vigente, e devem apoiar-se nas recomendações dos especialistas da área para a instituição de políticas de desenvolvimento de coleções. / ABSTRACT: The study refers to the collection development policies of the libraries of public schools and private primary and secondary schools in Florianópolis. Thus, the objective this study was to know the existence of such policies in this particular universe. Techniques social research were applied for to the achieve the goals, with the use of the questionnaires as a tool for data collection, sent electronically and delivered personally. The results revealed that only 29 subjects (25%) showed interest in participating in the study. Of this total, (48.3%) are of state libraries schools, (44.8%) are of municipal schools and (6.9%) are of private schools. The presence of librarians in the libraries was not decisive for the existence of policies of the development of the library collections, because (58.6%) lacks policies and (65.5%) do not have such a document. The responsibility by the libraries schools is exercised by the professional librarian in (55.2%) of the institutions, and of these, (44.8%) work in municipal public schools, (6.9%) in state public schools and (3.4%) in private schools. The presence of librarians in the libraries was not decisive for the existence of collection development policies, (58.6%) of the libraries, does not have policies and (65.5%) do not have this document. Despite the lack of formal policies for development collections, the professional librarian, stood out as responsible for the training and development of this collections, with the activities of the selection (37.9%), evaluation (31%), acquisition (24.1%) and exclusion (discard) (48.3%). The source of funds for the composition of the collection of library funding comes from predominantly coming from higher organs (20.7%), followed by the school budget and by the compositions of budget of the bodies of the government, highlighting that only (5%) of cases were of libraries. We conclude that the libraries especially the state schools, need to adapt to the current legislation, and must rely on the recommendations of experts in the field for the policies for collection development. |
