Outra memória: um roteiro cinematográfico múltiplo para a crítica da história narrada

Abstract

A tese defende a construção do roteiro cinematográfico contemporâneo como peça multiforme que permitirá desmembrar o filme em outros filmes, ampliando, assim, o público atingido, os pontos de vista sobre a realidade e também as temáticas tratadas por este roteiro. O principal objeto de estudo é o roteiro do filme de longa-metragem Outra Memória, que trata da biografia da atriz Edith Gaertner. A partir da união entre o tempo passado e o presente em sua narrativa, o roteiro discute, representando uma peça de teatro em construção, as estratégias para a elaboração de uma obra multiforme. A multidisciplinaridade da pesquisa que antecede o roteiro estabelece relações entre arte e sociedade; propõe, num ensaio, unir cinema digital de ficção, fotografias e filmes de arquivo, e sugere a negação das formas preestabelecidas para narrar a história da colonização em Santa Catarina e também a negação da dicotomia vanguarda versus clássico na forma do filme. Ao debruçar-se sobre as fontes marginais e sobre os fragmentos da memória, o roteiro investiga um pensamento iniciático do colonizador, que já contribuiu com o etnocídio e também atuou durante o período do nacional-socialismo na silenciosa construção de um tipo de teatro que narra a cultura dominante. This thesis defends the construction of the contemporary cinematographic screenplay as a multiform piece that would allow dismembering a film into other films, thus broadening the public reached, the points of view about reality and also the themes dealt with by the screenplay. The principal objective of the studies is the screenplay of the feature film Outra Memória (Other Memory), which concerns the biography of actress Edith Gaertner. Based on the union between past and present in its narrative, the screenplay discusses, while representing a dramatic play under construction, the strategies for the preparation of a multiform work. The multidisciplinarity of the study that precedes the screenplay establishes relationships between art and society and experimentally proposes uniting digital cinema and fiction, photographs and archival footage. It suggests the negation of pre-established forms to narrate the history of colonization in Santa Catarina and also the negation of the dichotomy vanguard versus classic in the form of film. By analyzing marginal sources and fragments of memory, the screenplay investigates a thought that originated with the colonizer, which contributed to the "ethnocide" and functioned during the National Socialism period in the silent construction of a type of theater that narrated the dominant culture.
