Abstract

Esta pesquisa procura descrever as condições de vida, trabalho e as relações sociais contidas numa vila de serraria na localidade de Casa de Pedras, interior do Município de Painel, antigo distrito da cidade de Lages. Este trabalho privilegia a abordagem da coexistência de diferentes culturas num mesmo espaço social. A vila de trabalhadores e a Serraria Cherubini agregou famílias de caboclos locais e migrantes gaúchos ( italianos) convivendo num mesmo lugar. Neste trabalho objetivo indicar as características das relações cotidianas dentro e fora da serraria e da vila. Falo dos trabalhos realizados pelos trabalhadores no interior da serraria e toda sua maquinaria, da dinâmica funcional, bem como do trabalho no mato, no corte de pinheiros. Procuro abordar as mudanças que a nova atividade extrativa desencadeou no espaço social, na paisagem e na configuração territorial que antecediam a chegada dos migrantes gaúchos que chegaram para uma vida nova num lugar desconhecido. Suas condições e visões sobre o novo lugar aparecem nas linhas desta pesquisa. Também estão descritas as impressões da gente da terra, os caboclos sobre a nova atividade e a chegada dos estranhos que passaram a conviver com os habitantes nativos da localidade. Por fim, uma das contribuições desta pesquisa é apontar as memórias vivas de sujeitos esquecidos, que foram cúmplices de um intenso espaço e tempo de sociabilidades, de convivências situados num mesmo lugar: A Vila de Serraria Cherubini.

This research tries to describe the life cnditions, work, and the social relationship restrained in a sawmill village located at Casa de Pedras, in the municipality of Painel, old district of Lages. This paper privileges the aproach of the coexistence of different cultures in the same social space. The workers village and the Cherubini sawmill joined local caboclos families and gaúchos migrants (italian) who lived together in the same place. In this paper the objective is to indicate the characteristics of the everyday relationship inside and outiside the sawmill and the village. I talk about the work done by their workers inside the sawmill and all its machinery, the functional dynamic, as well as the work in the woods, in the cutting of the pines. In the work I try to approach the changes that the new extrativist activity triggered in the social space, the landscape and the territorial environment that as they were previously to the arrival of the gaúchos Migrants who arrived in search of a new life in a unknown place. Their conditions and points of view about the new place appear in the lines of this research. Also, it describes the iimpressions of gente da terra, the caboclos, about the new activity and the arrival of foreigners that passed to live with the native with the local inhabitants. At last, one of the contributions of this research aims at showing The live memories of forgotten fellows who were accomplices of an intense space and time of acquai.
