Educação de Jovens e Adultos em Antônio Carlos: Reflexões sobre as Normativas Municipais

Abstract

O presente trabalho aborda a temática da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no município de Antônio Carlos. A pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender a organização dessa modalidade de ensino, sua oferta e as características dos alunos que frequentam a EJA. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, baseada nas normativas municipais, realizando a comparação com documentos nacionais que orientam a Educação de Jovens e Adultos de forma mais ampla. O estudo tem como base teórica os seguintes autores: Pierro, Catelli, Leite, Arroyo entre outros. Observou-se que o município de Antônio Carlos oferta a EJA para a sua população, porém há importante desalinhamento com relação às necessidades materiais e concretas desta oferta, seja no que se refere aos discentes ou mesmo aos docentes envolvidos.

This work addresses the theme of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in the municipality of Antônio Carlos. The research aimed to understand the organization of this educational modality, its provision, and the characteristics of the students who attend EJA. It is a documentary research, based on municipal regulations, comparing them with national documents that guide Youth and Adult Education more broadly. The study is based on the theoretical framework of the following authors: Pierro, Catelli, Leite, Arroyo, among others. It was observed that the municipality of Antônio Carlos offers EJA to its population, but there is a significant misalignment with the material and concrete needs of this provision, both in terms of the students and the teachers involved.
