dc.description.abstract Abstract: The current model of sustainable socioeconomic development is directly related to the management of economic growth that promotes technological evolution, the protection of the environment and the guarantee of energy security for present and future generations. In this context, low environmental impact technologies emerge with the purpose of mitigating damage to the environment, by reducing the consumption of raw materials and energy. Technologies based on the thermoelectric effect, high-performance batteries, photovoltaic devices, among others, arouse great interest in the study of materials in the area of ??Condensed Matter Physics. The development of functional materials with optimized physical properties is of great technological interest, observing premises such as increasing efficiency and stability. The category of materials with a perovskite (Prv) crystalline structure presents great potential in technological applications, such as solid-state batteries, solar cells, LEDs, and in the generation of piezoelectricity. The CsSnCl3 compound presents structural polymorphism, with the cubic perovskite phase (Prv- c) the crystalline structure of technological interest, associated with electronic band gap values ??between 0.96 and 3.00 eV. Belonging to the class of halide perovskites, the Prv-c phase is theoretically predicted to form at temperatures around 105 °C (378 K), being metastable at room temperature. In this context, The objective of this project is the synthesis of CsSnCl3 nanoparticles with Prv-c structure stable under ambient temperature and humidity conditions, via a solid state route adaptable to industry. The first results showed that the Particles are formed by the coexistence of Prv-c and monoclinic phases in a core-shell arrangement. Two synthesis routes were investigated, named S1 and S2, which differ by the reaction atmosphere. Route S1, conducted in an ambient atmosphere, contrasts with S2, carried out under non-reactive (inert) conditions. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results of the samples obtained by S1 showed a nanometric material (spheres with diameter < 30 nm in a typical core-shell structure), in CsSnCl3 stoichiometry, with coexistence of Prv-c and monoclinic phases (35.8 wt.% and 64.2 wt.%, respectively) and with stability of the Prv-c phase greater than 1 month, no control of the atmosphere in storage. The sample obtained by S2 presented 92.7 wt.% Prv-c phase, with the same crystallinity as S1, and with a cuboidal morphological characteristic. In addition to analyzing the influence of the synthesis atmosphere on the structural stability of the material, the study addressed the hypothesis of reversibility of the monoclinic phase in Prv-c on the physical properties of the material obtained from route S1. en
