Da tela à sala: possibilidades do uso do cinema no ensino de história

Abstract

O presente trabalho investiga as possibilidades do uso do cinema como recurso didático no ensino de História, com foco na representação da ditadura militar brasileira. Sustentada por aportes teóricos de autores como Hagemeyer, Rossini e Nascimento, a metodologia adotada combina uma revisão bibliográfica aprofundada sobre a relação entre cinema, imaginário social e ensino de História, com a análise documental e interpretativa de obras cinematográficas selecionadas. Partindo da compreensão do audiovisual como um fenômeno histórico-cultural de ampla influência na sociedade contemporânea, analisa-se como as imagens em movimento — especialmente as cinematográficas — atuam na construção do imaginário social, na formação da memória coletiva e na reprodução (ou contestação) de discursos ideológicos. São discutidas as dimensões estéticas, simbólicas e ideológicas das obras cinematográficas, com ênfase na necessidade de mediações críticas por parte dos educadores. Para isso, são examinados os filmes O que é isso, companheiro? (1997), Marighella (2021) e Ainda Estou Aqui (2024), cuja temática permite tensionar as versões oficiais sobre o regime autoritário e estimular nos estudantes o desenvolvimento de uma leitura histórica mais plural e reflexiva. A materialização dessa abordagem didática culmina na produção de tabelas que sistematizam as análises dos filmes e, de modo original e reflexivo, propõem suas potencialidades pedagógicas para diferentes anos curriculares, oferecendo um instrumento prático para a formação de uma consciência histórica crítica e sensível, em alinhamento com as diretrizes curriculares.

This paper investigates the possibilities of using cinema as a didactic resource for teaching history, with a focus on the representation of the Brazilian military dictatorship. Supported by theoretical contributions from authors such as Hagemeyer, Rossini and Nascimento, the methodology adopted combines an in-depth bibliographical review of the relationship between cinema, social imagery and history teaching, with documentary and interpretative analysis of selected cinematographic works. Based on an understanding of the audiovisual as a historical-cultural phenomenon with a wide influence on contemporary society, it analyzes how moving images - especially cinematographic images - act in the construction of the social imaginary, in the formation of collective memory and in the reproduction (or contestation) of ideological discourses. The aesthetic, symbolic and ideological dimensions of cinematographic works are discussed, with an emphasis on the need for critical mediation by educators.To this end, the films What's up, buddy? (1997), Marighella (2021) and I'm still here (2024) are examined, the themes of which allow the official versions of the authoritarian regime to be challenged and encourage students to develop a more pluralistic and reflective reading of history. The materialization of this didactic approach culminates in the production of tables that systematize the analyses of the films and, in an original and reflective way, propose their pedagogical potential for different curricular years, offering a practical tool for the formation of a critical and sensitive historical awareness, in line with the curriculum guidelines.
