História profissional na transição da carreira de técnica de enfermagem para enfermeira (2000- 2021)

Abstract

Estudo com objetivo geral de compreender a história profissional na transição de técnica de enfermagem para enfermeira entre 2000-2021. Pretendeu responder a questão norteadora: \"Como se constitui a autonomia profissional a partir da transição de Técnica de Enfermagem para Enfermeira, em uma perspectiva histórica? Pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, sócio histórica, descritiva e exploratória, sob o método da História Oral Temática, realizada com 16 Enfermeiras distribuídas em instituições públicas e privada em dois municípios do sul do Brasil. Foram excluídas enfermeiras em licença, por qualquer motivo. Para a escolha das participantes, foi utilizada a técnica de bola de neve, e, para a coleta de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas, usando o critério da saturação dos dados para encerrar a amostragem. Os dados de identificação e respostas foram organizados e transcritos em Word, posteriormente inseridos no software ATLAS.ti 9.0, gerando códigos: influência familiar, gostar de cuidar, conhecimento, questão financeira, ser testada pela equipe, desafios de inserção no mercado, peça-chave da equipe, mais valor social, e sentir-se respeitada. A análise sob a perspectiva teórica de Eliot Freidson seguiu as etapas preconizadas pela Análise Temática de Conteúdo de Bardin, emergindo os manuscritos com as categorias relacionadas. Manuscrito 1 ? ?De Técnicas de Enfermagem a Enfermeiras: transição e desafios do exercício profissional? teve por objetivo descrever a transição de Técnicas de Enfermagem para a profissionalização em Enfermeiras. Os resultados foram discriminados em três categorias: O que motiva a ser enfermagem, como o gostar do que faz, a influência familiar, o conhecimento, e as questões financeiras; Representação da Técnica de Enfermagem, que mostra a importância para a equipe e da destreza e habilidades técnicas; Os desafios da transição de carreira, que demonstram as principais demandas experienciadas neste trajeto, consideradas as dificuldades em mudar a percepção de categoria sobre si, e de se inserirem no mercado de trabalho enquanto Enfermeiras. O Manuscrito 2 ? ?Transição de carreira de técnica para enfermeira: um olhar da sociologia das profissões em busca da autonomia? teve como objetivo analisar o exercício profissional de Enfermeiras que atuaram como Técnicas de Enfermagem à luz do referencial de Eliot Freidson. Os resultados mostram dois temas principais: ?Motivação para fazer Graduação ? uma sensação de continuidade?, o qual expressa que as Enfermeiras anseiam por conhecimento e continuar a gostar de cuidar; e ?Mudanças com a transição de carreira ? em busca da tão sonhada autonomia?, que sinalizou a ampliação da visão, dos conhecimentos e das responsabilidades que promovem a profissionalização. Conclui-se que as Enfermeiras buscaram a graduação pela necessidade de se profissionalizar, potencializado na ampliação do corpo de conhecimento e das responsabilidades.

Abstract: This study aims to understand the professional history in the trajectory from nursing technician to nurse between 2000-2021 and, specifically: Describe the trajectory from Nursing Technicians to professionalization in Nurses; Identify the changes in the professional practice of Nurses who worked as Nursing Technicians; Analyze the professional practice of Nurses who worked as Nursing Technicians in the light of Eliot Freidson's framework. In order to answer the guiding question: How is professional autonomy constituted from the historical trajectory of Nursing Technician to Nurse? A qualitative, socio-historical, descriptive and exploratory study was carried out using the Thematic Oral History method with 16 nurses from public and private institutions in two municipalities in southern Brazil. The oral sources were Nursing Technicians who had been working for at least one year and had an active registration. Nurses on leave for any reason were excluded. The snowball technique was used to choose the participants and semi-structured interviews were carried out to collect the data, using the criterion of data saturation to close the sample. Ethical precepts were respected and the research was approved by Opinion No. 5.401.921 of the Committee for Ethics in Research with Human Beings, when the investigation process began. The data was collected through a semi-structured interview, with questions about the factors that influenced the choice to study nursing, the influences and repercussions of the choice on the family, the challenges of developing the two activities, the perception of being a nurse, relationships and entering the job market. The identification data and answers were organized and transcribed in Word, then entered into ATLAS.ti 9.0 software, generating codes: family influence, liking caring, knowledge, financial issues, being tested by the team, challenges of entering the market, key part of the team, more social value and feeling respected. The analysis, from Eliot Freidson's theoretical perspective, followed the stages recommended by Bardin's Thematic Content Analysis, and the manuscripts emerged with the related categories. Article 1 - From Nursing Technicians to Nurses: the trajectory and challenges of professional practice aimed to describe the trajectory from Nursing Technicians to professionalization as Nurses. The results were broken down into three categories: What motivates them to become nurses, such as liking what they do, family influence, knowledge and financial issues; Representation of the nursing technician, which shows their importance to the team and their dexterity and technical skills; The challenges of career transition, which show the main demands experienced in this path, considering the difficulties in changing the category's perception of themselves and entering the job market as Nurses. Article 2 - Career transition from technician to nurse: a look at the sociology of professions in search of autonomy aimed to analyze the professional practice of nurses who worked as nursing technicians in the light of Eliot Freidson's framework. The results show two main themes: \"Motivation to graduate - a sense of continuity\", which expresses the nurses' desire for knowledge and to continue to enjoy caring; and \"Changes with the career transition - in search of the longed-for autonomy\", which indicates aspects such as the broadening of vision, knowledge and responsibilities that promote professionalization. The conclusion is that the nurses pursued a degree because of the need to professionalize themselves, with the potential to expand their body of knowledge and responsibilities.
