Mulheres migrantes do Sul Global no Brasil: uma abordagem interseccional sobre desigualdades de gênero e raça no mercado de trabalho (2015-2022)

Abstract

O objetivo geral desta pesquisa é investigar como os marcadores interseccionais, dentro do sistema socioeconômico atual, afetam a inserção no mercado de trabalho e as condições de existência das mulheres migrantes do Sul Global no Brasil, com foco no período de 2015 a 2022. A investigação é orientada pela seguinte questão central: de que forma o sistema socioeconômico brasileiro, ao perpetuar desigualdades estruturais, impacta a inserção no mercado de trabalho e as condições de vida das mulheres migrantes do Sul Global, considerando as intersecções de gênero e raça. Partindo da hipótese de que a perpetuação de desigualdades estruturais no sistema socioeconômico brasileiro limita a inserção no mercado formal de trabalho para mulheres migrantes do Sul Global, empurrando-as para a marginalização ocupacional, particularmente em setores precarizados e no trabalho doméstico. Essa “guetização” reflete e reforça interseções de gênero e raça, demonstrando como as estruturas socioeconômicas promovem a exclusão e restringem as condições de mobilidade social dessas mulheres. Para responder à questão central, a pesquisa é estruturada em três objetivos específicos, interligados pela perspectiva interseccional e pela análise das estruturas socioeconômicas que moldam as experiências das mulheres migrantes Sul-Sul: (i) mapear o histórico de migração feminina Sul-Sul no Brasil e apresentar as perspectivas teóricas; (ii) compreender a inserção de mulheres migrantes no meio laboral formal brasileiro; e (iii) identificar os desafios e a resistência das mulheres migrantes do Sul Global, segundo uma perspectiva interseccional, com ênfase no setor do trabalho doméstico como evidência da marginalização histórica e estrutural no mercado de trabalho brasileiro. A metodologia adotada combina uma abordagem hipotético-dedutiva, revisão bibliográfica e análise de dados secundários obtidos de bases governamentais e de organizações internacionais. A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa apoia-se em autores como Silvia Federici, que aborda as interseções entre capitalismo, gênero e trabalho, e Françoise Vergès, com suas reflexões sobre feminismo decolonial e o impacto das desigualdades estruturais no Sul Global. Os principais resultados evidenciam que as desigualdades estruturais do sistema socioeconômico brasileiro, reforçadas por dinâmicas de gênero e raça, impactam negativamente os níveis de inserção formal das mulheres migrantes no mercado de trabalho. No entanto, também se destacam as estratégias de resistência dessas mulheres, que desempenham um papel essencial na construção de suas trajetórias laborais no Brasil, desafiando as formas de exclusão impostas pelo sistema.

The main objective of this research is to investigate how intersectional markers, within the current socioeconomic system, affect the labor market integration and living conditions of migrant women from the Global South in Brazil, focusing on the period from 2015 to 2022. The investigation is guided by the central question: How the Brazilian socioeconomic system, by perpetuating structural inequalities, impacts the labor market integration and living conditions of migrant women from the Global South, considering the intersections of gender and race. The hypothesis suggests that the perpetuation of structural inequalities in the Brazilian socioeconomic system significantly limits formal labor market access for migrant women from the Global South, pushing them into occupational marginalization, particularly in precarious sectors and domestic work. This occupational segregation reflects and reinforces the intersections of gender and race, demonstrating how socioeconomic structures promote exclusion and restrict the social mobility of these women. To address the central question, the research is structured into three specific objectives, interconnected through an intersectional perspective and an analysis of the socioeconomic structures shaping the experiences of migrant women in Global South-to-Global South flows: (i) map the history of female migration from the Global South to Brazil and present theoretical perspectives; (ii) understand the labor market integration of migrant women in the Brazilian formal sector; and (iii) identify the challenges and resistance strategies of migrant women from the Global South, through an intersectional lens, with an emphasis on the domestic work sector as evidence of the historical and structural marginalization within the Brazilian labor market. The methodology adopted combines a hypothetical-deductive approach, a literature review, and analysis of secondary data obtained from government databases and international organizations. The theoretical basis of the research is based on authors such as Silvia Federici, who addresses the intersections between capitalism, gender, and labor, and Françoise Vergès, with her reflections on decolonial feminism and the impact of structural inequalities in the Global South. The main results show that the structural inequalities of the Brazilian socioeconomic system, reinforced by gender and race dynamics, negatively impact the levels of formal insertion of migrant women in the labor market. However, the resistance strategies of these women also stand out, as they play an essential role in building their labor trajectories in Brazil, challenging the forms of exclusion imposed by the system.
