Plágio em artigo científico: o que diz a literatura brasileira

Abstract

A questão do plágio em artigo científico é algo preocupante, já que a sociedade depende cada vez mais de novos conhecimentos para continuar avançando cientificamente. Na Internet existem muitos trabalhos científicos em acesso aberto, o que facilita a cópia de informações por outros pesquisadores. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar artigos científicos em meio digital, escritos por autores em idioma português, que tratem sobre o tema “plágio em artigo científico” e, também, discutir e caracterizar os diferentes tipos de plágio mostrados por estes autores. Para a pesquisa dos artigos foi utilizado o Google Acadêmico, Scielo do Brasil e de Portugal, Portal de Periódicos da CAPES e repositórios institucionais presentes no Portal da CAPES. Durante o estudo pôde ser observado que o tema ainda é tratado de forma tímida, mas que vem crescendo gradativamente a cada ano. Os artigos encontrados são bem recentes, o que prova que a preocupação com o tema é bastante atual. Conclui-se, baseado nos artigos investigados, que a preocupação maior dos autores é o fato do plágio ser cometido por avaliadores de artigos científicos, o que prova que nem sempre a revisão por pares garante a credibilidade na ciência. O presente trabalho apresenta ferramentas que podem ser úteis no combate ao plágio, segundo seus autores.

The issue of plagiarism in scientific articles is something to worry about nowadays due to the dependance of society on new knowledge to carry on with scientific advance. On the Internet there are many scientific papers with open access to anybody, what facilitates the copy of information by other researchers. This paper aims to present scientific articles in the digital environment, writings by authors in Portuguese, addressing on the topic "plagiarism in scientific article" and also discusses and characterizes the different types of plagiarism shown by these authors. As a research basis it was used Google Scholar, Scielo (Brazil and Portugal), journal portal CAPES and institutional repositories present in Portal da CAPES. During the study one can observe that the theme is still treated in seconda plan but this picture is changing gradually each year. The articles found are recent, what proves that the concern with the theme is quite current. One can conclude, based on the articles investigated, that the major concern of the authors is the fact of plagiarism is being committed by evaluators of scientific articles, which proves that not always peer revision ensures the credibility of articles in the science fields. This research presents tools that may be useful in combating plagiarism, according to its authors.
