Perfil de saúde de homens bissexuais: uma revisão de escopo

Abstract

Introdução: A comunidade LGBT+ (Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Transexuais +) é um grupo abrangente e heterogêneo de pessoas historicamente discriminadas. Nesse contexto, os homens bissexuais sofrem mais preconceito do que mulheres bissexuais, entretanto, há menos estudos especificamente sobre suas demandas de saúde. Objetivo: O objetivo deste estudo é investigar o perfil de saúde de homens bissexuais e seus desafios. Método: Examinaram-se sistematicamente nove bases de dados, em português, inglês e espanhol, o que resultou em 7830 citações iniciais, com 27 referências finais após a aplicação de critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Resultado: Quatro temas-chave foram identificados na literatura: 1.”Discriminação e afirmação de identidade”; 2.“Uso de drogas”; 3.“Preferências de intervenção”; 4. “Prevenção e controle de HIV e de outras IST ́s”. Conclusão: A saúde de homens bissexuais é afetada por um conjunto de fatores, dentre os quais a bifobia, a binegatividade, o apagamento bissexual, a discriminação étnica e a falta de acesso a serviços de saúde adequados. educar e conscientizar sobre a bissexualidade, desafiar estereótipos negativos e fornecer acesso igualitário a serviços de saúde e apoio psicossocial.

Introduction: The LGBT+ community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender +) is a broad and heterogeneous group of historically discriminated against people. In this context, bisexual men suffer more prejudice than bisexual women, however, there are fewer studies specifically about their health demands. Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the health profile of bisexual men and their challenges. Method: Nine databases were systematically examined, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, which resulted in 7830 initial citations, with 27 final references after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. Result: Four key themes were identified in the literature: 1.“Discrimination and identity affirmation”; 2.“Drug use”; 3.“Intervention preferences”; 4. “Prevention and control of HIV and other STIs”. Conclusion: The health of bisexual men is affected by a set of factors, including biphobia, binegativity, bisexual erasure, ethnic discrimination and lack of access to adequate health services. educate and raise awareness about bisexuality, challenge negative stereotypes, and provide equal access to health services and psychosocial support.
