dc.description.abstract Waste is a global problem today. Solid, liquid, or gaseous, waste is part of human daily life, and it is necessary to produce actions in order to mitigate the problem. Approaches such as do it yourself (DIY) have been shown to be effective in creating products with little or no waste generation. Thus, in addition to this approach, others are also following the same path, showing that it is possible to unite design with other areas of knowledge, resulting in the manufacture and use of products with little or no waste generation. pt_BR
