Description:	The sustainable development considers economics, society, politics, science and technology under a systematic view. The paper analyses reflections about the work of graphic design and sustainable development. Qualitative methodology with both descriptive and exploratory approach has been chosen. The data they got take to a search for information about the right use of materials and processes able to minimize the impact of degradation of environment and to contribute with preservation of natural resources. O desenvolvimento sustentável contempla a economia, a sociedade, a política, a ciência e a tecnologia em uma visão sistêmica. O estudo aborda reflexões sobre o trabalho do design gráfico e desenvolvimento sustentável. Optou-se pela metodologia qualitativa com abordagem descritiva e exploratória. Os dados obtidos orientam para a busca de informações sobre o uso adequado de materiais e processos que possam minimizar os impactos da degradação do meio ambiente e contribuir para a conservação dos recursos naturais.
