CELIOTOMIA MEDIANA E PARAMEDIANA PARA RETIRADA DE TESTICULO NEOPLÁSICO EM CÃO CRIPTORQUIDA - RELATO DE CASO

Abstract

O criptorquidismo se dá pela falha no percurso do testiculo da cavidade abdominal para o escroto, fazendo com que o mesmo fique retido no canal inguinal ou na própria cavidade abdominal, tornando-se um testículo não funcional e por estar exposto a uma temperatura maior que a fisiológica a probabilidade de desenvolver uma neoplasia é aumentada. Se tratando de uma característica genética, o problema pode ser transmitido para seus descendentes, sendo assim o mais indicado é a orquiectomia, para que não ocorra mais casos de criptorquidismo. O diagnóstico é feito com base no exame físico, pela palpação do escroto e anel inguinal, associada a ultrassonografia para maior precisão na localização do testiculo retido. O tratamento foi realizado por meio de uma celiotomia mediana e paramediana, com o objetivo de realizar a retirada do testiculo neoplásico.

Cryptorchidism is caused by the failure of the testicle to travel from the abdominal cavity to the scrotum, causing it to be retained in the inguinal canal or in the abdominal cavity itself, becoming a non-functional testicle and for being exposed to a temperature greater than the physiological the probability of developing a neoplasm is increased. In the case of a genetic characteristic, the problem can be transmitted to their descendants, so the most suitable is orchiectomy, so that there are no more cases of cryptorchidism. The diagnosis is made based on physical examination, by palpation of the scrotum and inguinal ring, associated with ultrasound for greater precision in the location of the undescended testicle. The treatment was performed by means of a median and paramedian celiotomy, with the objective of performing the removal of the neoplastic testicle.
