Utilização do fio de fluorcarbono e agulhas hipodérmicas 40x16 na realização da sutura fêmoro-fabelo-tibial lateral em cão com ruptura de ligamento cruzado cranial

Abstract

O presente trabalho consiste num relato de caso realizado no Centro Veterinário Vet Center localizado em Joinville – Santa Catarina durante o estágio curricular supervisionado ocorrido entre 28 de agosto a 17 de novembro de 2017. Este trabalho consiste numa revisão bibliográfica da ruptura de ligamento cruzado cranial e suas principais formas de tratamento, juntamente com um relato de caso em que foi utilizado a técnica de sutura fêmoro-fabelo-tibial lateral em um cão com ruptura de ligamento cruzado cranial com foco nas modificações utilizadas durante a execução desta técnica cirúrgica. As modificações consistem na utilização do fio fluorcarbono e de duas agulhas hipodérmicas 40x16 para transpassar o fio por trás da fabela lateral e pela crista da tíbia, não sendo necessário a realização de ancoragem no fêmur ou na fabela medial. Estas variações da técnica sugerem até esta data, retorno da função normal do membro em 5 a 7 dias além de maior facilidade na execução do procedimento e baixo custo de material.

The present study consists of a case report carried out at the Veterinary Center Vet Center during the supervised curricular stage that occurred between August 28 and November 17, 2017, This work consists of a bibliographical review of the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament and the forms of treatment, with a case report in that lateral femoro-fabelo-tibial suture technique was used in a dog with rupture of cranial cruciate ligament, focusing on the modifications used during the execution of this surgical technique. The modifications consist of the use of fluorocarbon yarn and two 40x16 hypodermic needles to pierce the thread behind the lateral fabela and tibial crest, with no need for anchoring in the femur or medial fabela. These variations of the technique suggest until this date, return of normal limb function in 5 to 7 days, besides greater ease in the execution of the procedure and low cost of material.
