Tramas do olhar: americanismo, guerra fria e a emergência de um noco regime visual no Brasil entre 1945 e 1964

Abstract

O presente trabalho é um estudo sobre o período da Guerra Fria no Brasil. No entanto, longe de ser mais uma narrativa sobre os arranjos políticos que levaram a divisão do mundo em duas esferas de influência, ele se propõe a renovar a interpretação desse período histórico a partir de novos vieses, tirando-o de sua relativa homogeneidade. Assim, buscar-se-á entender, a partir de um suporte teórico-metodológico de diversas ciências humanas para o estudo das imagens, como a construção de uma comunidade imaginada ocidental se deu a partir de disputas culturais no plano imagético. Para tanto, serão avaliados os acontecimentos que permitiram a emergência de um novo regime visual e seus reflexos nas possibilidades de construção de identidades e subjetividades coletivas no Brasil no período do pós-Guerra.<br>

Abstract : The actual work is a study of the Cold War period in Brazil. However, far from being another political narrative about the arrangements that led to a division of the world in two separate areas of influence, it proposes a new interpretation of this historical period from a new perspective, trying to place it away from its relative homogeneity. Thus, the focus will be to use a varied visual studies theoretical and methodological support to understand how the construction of a Western imagined community was made from a cultural clash on the image. Therefore, it will start from the analysis of the events that let to the emergence of a new visual regime and its effects on the possibilities of construction of identities and collective subjectivities in Brazil in the post-War period.
