Senhores passageiros, aqui quem fala é a comandante...: os desafios das mulheres pilotos na aviação brasileira

Abstract

Ao longo das últimas quatro décadas, a sociedade vem sofrendo transformações constantes, com isso, percebe-se que cada vez mais a atuação das mulheres no mercado de trabalho. Atualmente, há mulheres nas mais diversas profissões, inclusive naquelas tidas como tradicionalmente masculinas, como é o caso da aviação. Nesta pesquisa, busca-se compreender como se dá a representação feminina na aeronáutica, especificadamente no cargo de piloto de avião no Brasil, profissão, por muito tempo, considerada como exclusivamente masculina. Daí a importância de melhor compreender como está a inserção da mulher nesse meio historicamente dominado por homens. Apesar dos avanças femininos, a presença das mulheres ainda é bastante tímida no comando dos aviões. Percebe-se que são diversos fatores que influenciam a pouca participação feminina no setor, entre elas estão a questão da família e da maternidade, os custos financeiros para a formação da piloto e, também, os obstáculos para se ascender na carreira. De maneira geral, foi observado que as pilotos tem sido melhor recebidas nesse campo profissional, e não se veem mais como vítimas de preconceito e discriminação, apesar de este ainda existir. No entanto, ele se manifesta escondido nas entrelinhas e estas mulheres, para desvencilharem-se das amarras da vitimização, naturalizam as chacotas e continuam seu trabalho. Contudo, verificou-se, através das entrevistas realizadas, que estas pilotos tem ido a luta e conquistado seu espaço no meio dessa luta por poder.

Over the last four decades, the society has been threw constant transformation, therewith, it is noticeable the increasing amount of woman in the labor market. Nowadays, there are many women on different lines of work, including those traditionally, considered man only, which is the case of aviation. In this research, seeks to understand how the female is represented on the aeronautics, specifically as a Brazilian airplane pilot, long considered, a position only appropriate to man. That point displays the importance of realizing the insertion of female work in this field subdue, historically, by man. Despite female progress, the presence of women is still quite shy in the aircraft command. It is possible to realize that there are several factors that influence the low female participation in the sector, including the issue of family and motherhood, financial costs for the pilot training and the obstacles to be promoted in this career. Generally, it’s observed that the pilots have been better received in the professional field, and they no longer see each other as victims of prejudgment and discrimination, despite of its existence. This fact is hidden under the lines, and these women, to disengage themselves from the leashes of victimization, hold on the pressures and keep on working. However, was verified, through interviews, that these pilots has struggled to conquer their territory thru all of this fight for power.
