Influência de Fatores de Crescimento na Osseointegração de Implantes Dentais

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar, através de uma revisão da literatura, como os fatores de crescimento influenciam na osseointegração de implantes dentais. Foram pesquisados os fatores de crescimento mais comuns: fator de crescimento semelhante à insulina-1 (IGF-1), o fator de crescimento derivado de plaquetas (PDGF) e as proteínas ósseas morfogenéticas (BMP) e sua viabilidade de aplicação clínica. Comparados à utilização de outras técnicas regenerativas, como em locais onde barreiras e enxertos foram utilizados, essas substâncias indutoras do crescimento demonstraram formação e maturação ósseas estatisticamente maiores e mais rápidas, tendo sido ainda mais eficientes quando associados à utilização de barreiras físicas. Os fatores de crescimento representam uma possibilidade real na estimulação da formação óssea e diminuição do tempo de osseointegração dos implantes dentais.

The objective of this study was to evaluate, through a literature review, as growth factors influence the osseointegration of dental implants. The most common growth factors were investigated: insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP) and its applications in humans :the most common growth factors were investigated. Compared to the use of other regenerative techniques as barriers and where grafts were used, these substances induce the formation and growth have demonstrated statistically higher and faster bone maturation and has been even more efficient when associated with the use of physical barriers. Growth factors are a real possibility in the stimulation of bone formation and decreasing the time of osseointegration of titanium dental implants.
