A reconfiguração da leitura na webnotícia: aspectos sociocognitivos e culturais

Abstract

Esta dissertação analisa a reconfiguração da leitura da webnotícia no contexto da convergência digital. A pesquisa utiliza a metodologia bibliográfica para discutir a leitura a partir de uma análise sociocognitiva e cultural, observando as rupturas e continuidades desde a cultura oral até os dias atuais. A leitura é considerada como a interação entre os elementos do texto e os conhecimentos prévios do leitor - os modelos mentais reformulados a partir das experiências, que, na tela do computador, passa a ser mediada pelas interfaces gráficas. Este processo representa uma renovação dos modos de percepção, exigindo diferentes habilidades cognitivas. A pesquisa também verifica como se dá a compreensão da notícia diante de um novo cenário, que tem no hipertexto uma linguagem com características próprias, capaz de ampliar os potenciais interativos da leitura. Dentre as principais conclusões do trabalho, está a de que as transformações técnicas na estrutura da informação ampliam as capacidades cognitivas do leitor. <br>

Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the reconfiguration of the webnews reading in the context of digital convergence. The research uses a bibliographic methodology to discuss the reading from a socio-cognitive and cultural analysis, observing the ruptures and continuities from oral culture to the present day. The reading is considered as the interaction between elements of the text and the reader's prior knowledge - mental models reformulated from the experiences, that, on the computer screen, becomes mediated by graphic interfaces. This process represents a renewal of perception modes, requiring different cognitive abilities. The research also verifies how is the understanding of the news on a new scenario, which has, in the hypertext, a language with its own characteristics, able to expand the interactive potential of the reading. Among the main conclusions of this work, is that the technical changes in the information structure extend the cognitive abilities of the reader.
