This dissertation addresses Projective Geometry from a perspective that combines history, theory, and visual representations. Projective Geometry stands out for making it possible to understand phenomena that frequently appear in images, such as the visual convergence of parallel lines and the idea of a point at infinity, elements that are not directly explained by Euclidean Geometry. The research was organized into three strands: a bibliographic review of PROFMAT dissertations that address Projective Geometry; a historical contribution highlighting its relationship with Renaissance art and the development of perspective representations, as well as its connection with photography and the formation of images through projection; and the theoretical foundation, presenting notions of the projective plane and the model RP2. A teaching proposal structured into six lessons is also presented, organized progressively: it begins with the analysis of images and artworks with depth, moves on to the identification of the vanishing point and the horizon line, includes an attempt to reproduce the perspective view of a cube, and culminates in the construction and use of the camera obscura. The camera obscura was chosen as the educational product because it materializes central projection, allowing students to observe the formation of an image and relate this phenomenon to introductory concepts of Projective Geometry. Thus, the articulation between history, art, photography, and experimentation constitutes a consistent path to bring Projective Geometry closer to high school, expanding the mathematical reading of visual representations and fostering a more systematic understanding of space and projection-based technologies.

This dissertation investigates the paths toward consolidating a teaching practice that recognizes school mathematics as a human, historical, and cultural construction, as opposed to a technical, dogmatic, and segregating teaching model. The central objective is to characterize Humanistic Mathematics ? grounded in the works of Alvin White, Philip J. Davis, Reuben Hersh, Ubiratan D?Ambrosio, and Carlos Mathias ? and to understand how this perspective can be mobilized in Basic Education pedagogical practices. Methodologically, the study articulates a literature review and a reflection on teaching practice to propose a pedagogical reorganization based on a triad: Structure, Validity, and Relevance. The Structure axis addresses symbolic rigor as the synthesis of an investigative path; Validity, focuses on the transition from the teacher's authority to the student's logical and epistemological autonomy; and Relevance connects universal knowledge to social demands, engaging directly with Ethnomathematics to act as a tool for interpreting reality. The research highlights that the re-humanization of mathematics requires an emotional climate of acceptance and belonging, where error is part of discovery, transforming learning into an exercise of personal courage. It is concluded that technical rigor, a central pillar of training programs such as PROFMAT, reaches its full effectiveness when articulated with pedagogical, ethical, and social dimensions. Humanistic Mathematics reveals itself, therefore, not as an alternative to rigor, but as its very condition of existence, consolidating teaching as an emancipatory means for the promotion of social justice and human dignity.

Matemática financeira e sua aplicação para investimentos
Furlan, Guilherme Cruz
This work aims to present and discuss the main topics of Financial Mathematics developed in the context of basic education, ranging from elementary concepts, such as the calculation of interest and percentages, to the application of this knowledge in everyday situations. The choice of this theme is justified by its comprehensive and relevant nature, since the use of money is continuously present in people's lives, and the way it is managed can significantly influence the financial trajectory of each individual. After presenting the fundamental concepts of Financial Mathematics, the study proposes a reflection on the importance of a deeper understanding of these contents, highlighting how mastering these tools can contribute to making better financial decisions throughout life. In this sense, it seeks to highlight the impact of technical knowledge on personal financial planning and the organization of individual finances. In addition, the work addresses the topic of financial investments, with an emphasis on Brazilian government bonds, analyzing the different types of investments available through the ?Tesouro Direto? program. The characteristics, advantages, and particularities of these investments are discussed, in order to broaden students' understanding of alternatives for investing resources in the financial market. As an educational product, an Excel calculator was developed to calculate the return on fixed-rate investments with compound interest, in order to assist in the practical understanding of the concepts studied and to promote more meaningful learning. Finally, a teaching sequence was proposed that includes the introduction of basic concepts of Financial Mathematics, reflection on personal finance, and an approach to investments in ?Tesouro Direto? bonds, aiming to integrate theory and practice in the teaching-learning process.
